Deadline: Sunday 22 February 2026.
The Society for Modern Greek studies calls on graduate students (research or taught) and early career scholars (immediate postdoctoral, 0-2 years from the end of their PhD) from universities in the UK and abroad to participate in its annual Graduate Research Colloquium, this year taking place in person at the University of Reading (UK) on Friday 26 June 2026 (venue tbc).

The one-day Colloquium is a student-led event that aspires to bring together graduate students and early career scholars currently undertaking research related to the Modern Greek world and Cyprus (1453-present). Applications from any field of the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences are welcome, and proposals emphasising the cross-national dynamics in the Southeastern Mediterranean are particularly encouraged. The Colloquium provides students with the opportunity to present their research, discuss their ideas with their peers, expand cross-disciplinary collaboration, and gain important feedback on their work by distinguished scholars.
