‘Nikos Kazantzakis: The Last Voyage’: film screening and panel discussion

Monday 25th November, 6.30pm.

An evening dedicated to the renowned Greek author Nikos Kazantzakis will be hosted by King’s College London’s Centre for Hellenic Studies, in collaboration with the International Society of Friends of Nikos Kazantzakis (UK) and under the auspices of the Greek Embassy in London.

The free event starts at 6.30pm in the historic King’s Great Hall and will include an exclusive screening of “The Last  Voyage,” directed by Aris Chatzistefanou.

It will also feature:

  • A welcome by Professor Gonda Van Steen and Katerina Monastirli, the society’s UK representative.
  • Following the screening, Mr. Chatzistefanou will join us live on screen to engage with the audience in a dynamic Q&A session
  • A presentation by Dr. Lewis Owens on Kazantzakis’s themes of journey and transformation.
  • An introduction to Kazantzakis by Professor Gonda Van Steen.

Emeritus Professor David Holton will chair the event and moderate the final Q&A.

The evening will conclude with a networking reception, offering drinks and light refreshments.
